When she grew out of her “nauseatingly cute” and “terribly precocious” child phase, she was no longer booking the leading roles and stepped away from her child stardom. She then focused on comedy and improv while finishing school. She then went to New York University and spent four years trying to avoid awkward eye contact (as she puts it) with the other, much more famous former child stars attending the school.
